Windows Horizon (Windows 7) — a September 30, 2009 release date (Prediction)

I think a lot of others sites are predicting 2010-2011 as they say (and some have received email from MS) that Microsoft's stated position on Windows Horizon (Windows 7) is that it will take 3 years to complete.  What they fail to take into account is that Vista has now been out for one years and that Microsoft would have started work on Windows Horizon - Sunrise - Business Horizon and Horizon Xtreme (Windows 7) before Vista hit the retail shelves.  They are NOT starting just now - and have 3 years to go!

I'd also like to say that overall I like Windows Vista.  Apart from my camera slow connect and wait to connect to the Net will 3G wireless, it is very easy to navigate. Search could still stand some improvement and removing any 'default' delay in displaying menus - or anything would be welcome.

The biggest "MISTAKES" they made for Vista was not "Officially allowing a clean install" and UAC (That pissed everyone and their dog off)  First things I did was a clean install and disable UAC - SO YOU WASTED YOUR TIME!

Further, I had 95, then 98 SE before ME - and I used ME for years and years without any problems.  I refused to buy XP because of some thing about not being allowed to put a copy on my old 2nd computer or something.  Swore 'hell would freeze over' before I bought it.  Ended up buying two copies that I had hardly a chance to use before upgrading to Vista.

So, I'm definitely the "odd man out" here.

And - I hoping the judge will take my insanity into account when I'm sentenced for marketing a "phantom" Windows version!
